What would you think of a pill that would make your fat disappear and your muscle work as if you were doing aerobic but actually, you weren’t?  Most people would be very interested in such a pill if one actually existed.  But in the current age, it sounds more like science fiction than reality.  However, that might all be changing in the near future with the invention of two little pills.

The two pills thus far have only been tested in the lab but have seen substantial results.  One pill increased the results of exercise nearly double while the other pill gave the results of exercise though the subject remained sedentary.  What one can gather from the results is less work would be needed to gain the same results. That is something everybody would look forward to.

The pills are still in the lab and the benefits now need to be transferred to humans.  However, the ground work has been completed which should speed up further research.  At the moment, no timetable is set, but everybody is working hard to figure it out.  It is looking like one day exercise will be as easy as waking up, walking to the kitchen, and swallowing a pill instead of hours of hard exercise.

For over 250 years, those living in the southern US were enjoying what has been shown to be one of the most healthy substances around: Muscadines.  Muscadine grapes offer many of the same benefits that a “regular” grape does: great taste, a firm texture, and the ability to be made into wines, jellys, and jams.  However, the muscadines have been shown to contain up to seven times more Resveratrol in wine (up to 40mg/L) than “regular” wines.

In this article by “Georgia Faces”, the cancer-fighting properties of Resveratrol are mentioned, though very briefly.  Resveratrol has been shown to turn off the “defense mechanisms” of cancerous cells, making them vulnerable to your body’s natural defenses.

Muscadines are available in just about every grocery store, farmers market, and corner store in the southern US (and they are becoming increasingly popular in other areas of America as well).  If you’ve never tried one, perhaps now is the time to pick one up and see if you like it.
